Newburgh, NY –Judith Staff of Pine Bush has joined St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital as Laboratory Manager, with responsibilities for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of patients’ laboratory work at both the Newburgh and Cornwall campuses as well as offsite facilities. Staff came to SLCH from Orange Regional Medical Center where she was Laboratory Manager. In welcoming Staff, Director of Laboratory Services Theresa Dering said, “Judith’s years of experience as a laboratory manager make her the ideal person to accomplish our goal of assuring that each patient’s laboratory work is processed and delivered in the most accurate and timely manner possible.” |

Dering added, “About 75% of the information in a patient’s chart is generated in the laboratory. Getting this information right in the shortest timeframe so that our physicians can facilitate treatment, goes to the heart of SLCH’s mission to provide high-quality patient care.” Staff also has worked as a Supervisor of Laboratory Technology at Catskill Regional Medical Center and is a lecturer in Microbiology at SUNY Orange. |
