health care in our community,” said John Smith Sr., Chairman of
St. Luke’s Cornwall Health System Foundation. “This support provides the resources necessary for
SLCH to provide leading-edge technology to enhance patient care, offer new programs and
services and undertake building expansions and renovations.”
Generating revenues through community campaigns, special events, direct mail solicitations,
planned giving programs, bequests and memorial donations, the Foundation plays a vital role in the
evolution of SLCH as the region’s premier health care provider. The Foundation’s Board of
Directors is comprised of volunteers from the community, who manage and disburse funds raised
through these and other initiatives.
The Foundation has raised more than $5 million in the past three years to support the hospital’s
10-year Master Facilities Plan. Renovations continue, and groundbreaking is expected this spring
for a comprehensive Cancer Treatment Center in Cornwall that will offer the latest advances in
cancer care in a patient-focused environment.
